Haus Alpin is located on the Tauplitzalm, a high plateau in the Austrian Alps, near the town of Bad Mitterndorf in Styria. The Tauplitzalm is one of the largest high-altitude lake plateaus in Europe, situated at around 1,650 meters, surrounded by impressive mountains and scenic lakes.
Bad Mitterndorf is a small town in Styria, known for its picturesque alpine landscape and healing thermal springs. The region is a popular destination both in summer and winter, offering opportunities for skiing, hiking, and relaxing in the thermal baths. The Tauplitzalm is particularly famous for its ski resort but also offers numerous hiking trails in the summer, leading through pristine nature. The area is characterized by its peaceful and secluded atmosphere, making it a perfect place for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
Customer's requirements
The challenge
The Haus Alpin owner contacted us based on very good references from previous TPV projects. There was complete reconstruction of the existing old kitchen.
The requirements were to consult, propose, design and instal the kitchen ventilation ceiling. After the checking of the old building drawings and the first visit at the place, there were some very specific installation demands.
There were old ventilation ducts from a previously installed system that now interfered with the new ducts being installed. These old ducts were not included in the original plan, which presented an unexpected challenge. On-site improvisation was required.
However, thanks to Atrea's extensive experience, solutions were quickly found. The TPV ventilation ceilings experts skillfully navigated around the old ducts and came up with an effective solution of the problem.

The solution
We have developed a complete TPV ceiling solution from the initial planning phase to final completion. We delivered a full TPV ceiling along with a DUPLEX Basic 10 100 unit, equipped with kitchen automation. We are holding all responsibility for all the project then.
Principle of our ceilings
How does the ceiling connected to the unit work?
Our highly efficient (99%) ATREA ventilation ceilings have the option of using a DUPLEX Basic heat recovery unit for efficient air exchange in the kitchen.
Polluted air is extracted and filtered through high quality stainless steel filters and then also as an option eliminated by the UV-C filtration technology.
The ceilings are a closed system which means air-tight solution that preserves the building construction and eliminates smell into the premises. This solution provides optimal working conditions for the kitchen staff.
Atrea offers a complete system – ventilation ceiling with filtration together with air-handling unit and control system. All delivered and installed by one supplier!
