A unique building, a unique project
Background
Living in V TOWER, Prague is a symbol of perfect comfort for all residents. Every apartment enjoys natural sunlight and views of the greenery surrounding the building, which directly connects to Central Park and Kavčí Hory Park.
This building is also special in that it is inhabited by VIP persons, such as the legendary Czech hockey player Mr. Jaromír Jágr.
Customer´s requirements
The challenge
We had to create brand new units for this project to meet the customer's requirements, which were units with cooling, heating and to be mounted under-ceiling and that would be able to ventilate the required amount of air in different sized areas of the building. In the end, we solved the project with 102 pieces of DUPLEX RS4 550 and 24 pieces of DUPLEX RS4 900.
This building is made mostly of glass, so when the sun shines on it, it warms the air by several degrees. That is why a circulating unit with cooling and heating was chosen, because if the heating and cooling was controlled by the underfloor heating, the temperature change in the room would take too long and cost too much money.
Another reason why this solution was chosen for the project was that they also wanted to avoid radiators so as not to spoil the architectural design of the interior.

The solution
Custom-made compact AHUs for indoor installation. Their innovative circulation design provides complete ventilation with parallel indoor air circulation. The units are designed for rooms where hot air heating is suitable or necessary, for instance where conventional heating systems cannot be used due to interior design constraints (rooms where no heaters or radiators should be installed) or where it is impossible to cover the entire heat loss volume (underfloor heating with limited capacity).
The units also provide an advantage for low-energy buildings where the room temperature climate must be balanced quickly, for instance due to sudden heat gain from sunshine, which conventional heating systems (primarily underfloor heating systems) are unable to achieve with the speed required.
