The winner is the Swedish team with the FoodHub project
As every year, we announced the winner of the prestigious Project of the Year competition during the International Sales Meeting of ATREA’s export branches. This award is given to projects that stand out not only for their scale and technical complexity, but also for their innovative approach and ability to overcome challenges.

Strong competition among nominated projects
The competition was particularly strong this year. Each European branch presented its best project of the past year – all unique in their technical solutions and challenges. The following projects were nominated:
- ATREA Austria – NMS Schwechat: A large school project with 27 classrooms equipped with Inter-H units
- ATREA Hrvatska – Fero-term Park: Retail park with 17 units and 3 hoods
- ATREA Polska – Military Garrison Żagań: Comprehensive ventilation solution for a military base
- ATREA Romania – Ice Rink Berceni: Ventilation for the largest ice rink in Romania (12,000 m²)
- ATREA Bulgaria – BG Parliament Kitchen: Premium kitchen solution for the Bulgarian Parliament
- ATREA Sverige – FoodHub: The largest project in the history of the Swedish branch
Winning project: FoodHub in Sweden
This year’s winner is the team of ATREA Sverige with the FoodHub project – the largest realization in the history of the Swedish branch. The project is a true showcase of technical precision, customer trust, and innovative thinking.
Why FoodHub?
What makes FoodHub so special is not only its size, but above all its diversity. Under one roof, eight completely different kitchens operate side by side – Thai, Kebab, Middle Eastern, Sandwiches, Italian, Swedish, Indian, and Burgers. Each cuisine brings its own cooking style, equipment, and ventilation requirements. Designing and installing a system that could meet these highly varied demands was a true challenge.
The installation required centimeter-level precision, as the hoods had to fit seamlessly into structures that were already built. In total, the delivery included 2 KUBUS units, 10 ALTURA hoods with integrated UVC technology, and an Ansul fire protection system. Ensuring this level of accuracy demanded perfect coordination and close teamwork between ATREA Sverige and our partner GS Vent, with on-site assembly carried out directly by our team to guarantee flawless execution.
The new ALTURA hoods with UVC integration provided not only advanced hygiene and safety, but also the flexibility needed to handle eight unique cooking environments under one roof. Each kitchen prepares hundreds of meals every day, together serving thousands of portions daily, and the ventilation system must deliver consistent performance, reliability, and comfort for both chefs and guests.
FoodHub is therefore much more than just a large installation. It is a showcase of how ATREA technology can bring together different worlds of gastronomy into one shared space – each with its own story, its own flavors, and its own technical challenges – and make them work in harmony.
Importance for ATREA
The FoodHub installation clearly demonstrates ATREA’s ability to deliver complete solutions – from design and technical details to final installation – while maintaining the highest standards of quality and reliability. It is also a perfect example of how our technology adapts to the diverse and demanding needs of modern gastronomy.
Congratulations to the Swedish team on this well-deserved success, and we look forward to more inspiring projects in 2026!
