ATREA News: DUPLEX Flexi-V facelift

ATREA continues the development of DUPLEX air handling units. The article covers ATREA’s DUPLEX Flexi-V units (500–3,500 m³/h) and their latest facelift. It highlights updates designed to streamline installation and enhance overall usability.

ATREA News: DUPLEX Flexi-V facelift

1) Stand feet

The entire DUPLEX Flexi-V unit portfolio has been updated with redesigned stand feet. The new design is optimized for efficient pallet transportation, improving handling and logistics. The stand feet now differ depending on the unit size.

A new set of stand feet has been developed. Four feet are mounted directly into the unit casing from the bottom side.

These units use the same stand feet concept as larger units. Six feet are mounted into a reinforced frame located beneath the unit.

2) aMotion

In September 2025, Flexi units switched from RD5 to new aMotion control system as part of the Flexi  facelift. The aMotion system offers intuitive operation via touch panel, tablet, or smartphone, delivering enhanced functionality, user-friendly control and easier maintenance.

Key benefits include:

  • mobile app control
  • cloud connectivity with remote monitoring
  • extended control and customization options
  • centralized management via aManager
  • a simplified commissioning wizard for quicker setup

3) Ethernet connection

As part of the facelift, an Ethernet connector is integrated directly into the junction box. This solution simplifies connection to the local network or cloud-based services.

The Ethernet interface enables faster and more efficient service, especially when used with RD5 and aMotion control systems. It allows remote monitoring, diagnostics, and parameter adjustments, reducing on-site service time and improving system availability.

This update supports easier integration into modern building management systems (BMS) and reflects the growing demand for digital connectivity in HVAC solutions.

4) Improved filter holder design

The updated design of filter holders focuses on improved air tightness and filtration efficiency. The innovated filter holder construction minimizes filter bypass leakage by ensuring consistent sealing around the entire filter perimeter.

Tight metal rails where filter cassettes fit firmly into their position, guarantee correct filter seating and long-term reliability. This design improves overall filtration performance and supports hygienic operation.

5) Simplified design of integrated electrical preheater and reheater

The installation of integrated electric preheaters and reheaters is now easier and faster. Control module does not need to be installed on the unit casing anymore. Wiring connection of the electrical coil is faster. Easier installation is also supported by innovated picture guides.
