ATREA strengthens cooperation with universities
ATREA has long been developing cooperation with universities and research institutions, sharing expertise and practical experience with future professionals in the field. One of the recent successful projects took place in partnership with the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology at Mendel University in Brno.
On April 9, 2025, ATREA experts delivered a professional lecture for bachelor’s degree students on the topic of Ventilation of Timber Buildings. The session covered not only the possibilities of ventilating modern timber structures but also key aspects of controlled ventilation, including system control options, low humidity and overdrying issues, overheating in summer months, and the dynamic response of suitable heating systems for timber buildings.
Mendel University has been dedicated to this area for many years. Its Experimental Measurement Module allows students to carry out practical measurements and evaluate parameters such as humidity, the influence of ventilation systems on the microclimate, shading technology, and the selection of appropriate building materials.
An ATREA DUPLEX RB5 heat recovery unit is installed in the module, providing the optimal microclimatic conditions needed for these measurements and simulations.
